I have ridden and been around horses for the majority of my life. I started to ride at seven years old at trekking centres on our family holidays with my parents and siblings. We fell so much in love with the horse world, that my parents decided to buy our own ponies and horses and stable them at a farm in Flamborough. From this point, I started my journey to becoming the instructor I am today.
The Middleton and the Wolds Pony Club gave me the foundations on which I built my skills and profession, by taking all the examinations they gave in stable management and riding capability up to C+ certificate, entering the numerous competitions in Show Jumping, Hunter Trials and Dressage at a local level all honed my growing abilities.
This eventually lead to studying my First Diploma and National Diploma in Horse Management at Askham Brian College. On my successful completion of these qualifications, I joined Snainton Riding Centre; which has given me fourteen years of continuous experience. Now through Snainton Riding Centre I am working towards my BHS Stage Three qualification, to ensure my knowledge and skills remain as fresh and relevant as possible to the benefit of my students.
