This page contains the answers to questions we are frequently asked. Please telephone or email us if you require any further information.

What do I wear?
Approved riding hats can be hired from the Centre. Footwear with a small square heel is advised. Clothing needs to be suitable for the weather, gloves in winter for instance. Trousers do not want to be too tight fitting!

Where is Snainton Riding Centre?
Snainton Riding Centre is located just off the A170, between Scarborough and Pickering. The A170 can be reached from the A169 if you are travelling from Whitby and the north or from the A64 if you are coming from York.

How do I book and pay for sessions?
We are open every day except Thursdays. We advise booking in advance. Payment for lessons can be made with cash or cheque, which needs to be accompanied by a guarantee card.
