Pony Clinics

Pony Clinics are organised to take place during the school holidays throughout the year and the emphasis is on enjoyment! Children come to the Centre for the day to learn not only about riding but to receive lectures and tuition in stable management.

The clinics run from 10am until 4.30pm, although these times are flexible, and children need to come equipped with a packed lunch and suitable clothing – see our Contact page for more information.

The day is filled with lots of fun and everything horsey that you can imagine! Children have the opportunity to learn more about riding and looking after ponies, fostering a commitment to and enthusiasm for the welfare of horses. We encourage young people to appreciate the long-term responsibility of owning and looking after their own horse.

Throughout the year children attending the Pony Clinics will be able to complete the British Horse Society Progressive Riding Tests. This series of six tests is made up of both riding and stable management.

Each Clinic costs £37 and from June 2008 £38.

CHRISTMAS FUN DAYS

Monday 22 & Tuesday 23 December

Birthday Parties

Snainton Riding Centre is an excellent venue for children's parties. We cater for about 10 children who spend approximately 1 hour 15 minutes absorbed in pony games followed by a party in the gallery and lecture room. Food needs to be provided by parents, there are basic kitchen facilities and ample space for games such as pass-the-parcel.

Price per child - £11, for a minimum of six children

Inter-SRC Competitions

Throughout 2008 we will be holding competitions for children (on our ponies) to compete against other children that ride at the centre. The aim of these competitions is to give children the opportunity to compete and therefore have the chance to experience the competitive world.
