Situated in the heart of some of the most beautiful countryside in Yorkshire, midway between Scarborough and Pickering, Snainton Riding Centre provides a comprehensive and varied range of facilities.

The Centre was founded in 1970 by the present proprietors Alec and Elaine Lyall, who maintain high standards and pass on the benefit of many years’ experience and expertise to their clients. Alec Lyall is a British Horse Society Instructor (BHSI). The Lyalls have now been joined by their daughter Charlotte Wilson who holds a BA (Hons) degree in Equine Studies in addition to her British Horse Society Instructor qualification.

Snainton Riding Centre is approved by the British Horse Society and the Association of British Riding Schools.

We cater for everyone, from children as young as four years old to adults, providing excellent riding tuition for all our clients, from beginners to advanced riders. We are also a competition centre and offer first class livery services. Snainton Riding Centre recently featured in the Observer's 2006 Guide: 50 Best Family Days Out. Listed immediately above Tour of Old Trafford it recommends our "child-friendly stables, catering for all skill levels in picturesque Yorkshire."
